Custom CRM + lead management platform replacing GoHighLevel for a business-funding operator

Built for: Business-funding brokers, lending marketplaces, and financial-services operators TypeScript React Node.js PostgreSQL

Overview

## What we built

BizBee Funding needed to move off GoHighLevel and onto a purpose-built CRM that matched their exact lending workflow — credit-based qualification, lender routing, partner attribution, and affiliate payouts. Thrive Media built the full replacement.

Core CRM: pipeline overview, contacts, conversation portal, applications, opportunities, and automations — with native Twilio for SMS/voice and SendGrid for email so nothing depends on GHL's messaging layer.

The differentiator is the credit + lender routing engine: an integration pulls a credit report on qualified applicants, scores their credit profile, and automatically matches them to the right lender based on program criteria. Post-application, applicants are routed into a Qualified / DNQ / Manual-Assign sequence.

Three portals ship on top of the core CRM: a lender portal (lenders view + track the leads routed to them), a partner portal (lead providers track their submitted leads and conversions), and an affiliate payout management layer for commissions.

## Key capabilities

### Full GHL replacement

Every GHL surface — pipeline, contacts, conversations, automations, templates, opportunities — rebuilt as native modules. No monthly per-seat SaaS fee, no GHL sub-account dependency.

### Twilio + SendGrid native integrations

SMS and voice run directly through Twilio; email through SendGrid. Real deliverability metrics: 41% open rate, live SMS/email sent + reply tracking, bounce + failure logging.

### Synthflow AI voice + text

Custom Synthflow integration powers the AI voice agent and AI SMS threads — inbound and outbound — with escalation into the human conversation portal when needed.

### Credit report + lender routing

Pulls a credit report on qualifying applicants, evaluates the credit profile, and auto-routes to the matching lender program (Kaydem, Lendzi, and other partners) with a tailored post-application sequence per outcome.

### Automation builder + system workflows

Build custom SMS/email workflows or use system flows: Post-Application (Qualified), Post-Application (DNQ) branched by reason, Free Guide nurture, and Manual-Assign one-shot — with per-workflow enrollment + active-user tracking.

### Lender portal

Dedicated portal where partnered lenders log in to view and track the leads routed to them — status, contact details, application, and outcome — without giving them full CRM access.

### Partner + affiliate portal

Lead providers get their own portal to submit + track leads and see conversions. Affiliate layer handles commission tracking and payout management end-to-end.

### Admin control plane

Overview dashboard for pipeline performance (Leads / Applications / Qualified / DNQ / Assigned / Funded / Denied / Conversion) plus team, lender, partner, and payout management from a single admin surface.
